I walked 30 kilometers by myself today, and this time with no friends to talk to. Ori was suffering from more blister problems.

I noticed some changes in the landscape: different soil and plants, fewer animals grazing, and the first vineyards of the Camino. It’s an incredible experience to walk through a landscape and notice such subtle changes as they happen over the course of days and weeks.

Below: Supposedly the oldest wayside cross in the region. This area had numerous Neolithic dolmens and rock piles, and it looked like this cross was simply added to an existing rock collection, many centuries ago.

Below: The bridge over the Lot in Cajarc. Although she didn’t walk, Ori filled her time sketching this bridge in her journal.
