Oxford sightseeing – a list of things to do and see
I’ve spent the last week or so compiling a list of places and activities worthy of at least a few minutes the next time you’re visiting Oxford. I took suggestions from Ori, my colleagues and various tourism websites, but everything on the list has been done by me and is, in my opinion, worth doing (except where noted – I haven’t done one or two of the suggestions, but I have plans to before we leave Oxford in April).
I was inspired by this list of 200 things to do and see in Venice. Not having quite the density that Venice has, I thought 100 would be a more appropriate number to aim for, and I’m about three items short. Please make suggestions (using the comments feature on this page or the list page itself) if you can think of anything I’ve missed.
The list is roughly broken down into groups: the best colleges, pubs, museums, parks, and activities Oxford has to offer. Higher priority items are listed first in each section, but I promise that everything on the list is worth seeing or doing if time allows.
Also, the list is still unfinished, and I need to tidy up some of the formatting and descriptions. I’ll be doing that in the next few days.
Without further ado, here it is:
Let me know what you think!
