A new Gallery

Okay, I should have known better than to second-guess myself. After all, when I set up the Venice 2.0 Gallery a year ago, I did some research and identified Gallery 2 as the best free, open-source photo gallery available. I wanted to integrate whatever gallery I settled on into WordPress, however, and that took me on a long, circuitous route through such packages as Plogger and Coppermine.

But Gallery 2 is still the best, and I’m willing to install it now, even as they’re well along on developing Gallery 3.  My installation of Gallery 2 is lean, fast and attractive. It integrates into WordPress (via WPG2), and it does everything I want it to. See the “Random image” on the bottom of the right-hand sidebar? That’s thanks to WPG2.
